Without any public consultation whatsoever, CEC took the decision to sell off the best-used and best-loved sports facility in Edinburgh.

LABOUR HAVEN'T LISTENED

Ewan Aitken's proposal to stand by the decision to demolish Meadowbank Stadium and set-up a working group to consider a new community sports centre in east Edinburgh completely misses the point and shows he hasn't listened to what thousands of people have been telling him. Read more>>

600 ATTEND PUBLIC MEETING

Councilors, MSPs and MPs were quizzed by the public and sports groups who use the facilities at Meadowbank at a public meeting held on Sat 17th March.

Taken aback by the numbers and the strength of feeling within the meeting, Donald Anderson, representing City of Edinburgh Council, was forced to concede that a rethink was necessary! Read more here
